Staff Bio

Adrian Daul, MD (he/him/his) has committed his career to improving health care providers’ competency in caring for transgender patients. He has been an invited lecturer locally and nationally, with audiences ranging from medical students to physicians and emergency clinicians to obstetricians. He co-chaired the Association of American Medical Colleges’ Advisory Committee on Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and Sex Development. This committee collaboratively developed a webinar and teaching tools to accompany AAMC’s landmark publication to improve medical school curriculum called Implementing Curricular and Institutional Climate Changes to Improve Health Care for Individuals Who Are LGBT, Gender Nonconforming, or Born with DSD. He authored a chapter in Diversity and Inclusion in Quality Patient Care: Your Story/Our Story – A Case-Based Compendium, published in August 2018. He co-authored “Transgender and Gender-Nonconforming Patients in the Emergency Department: What Physicians Know, Think, and Do,” published in 2018 in the Annals of Emergency Medicine.

Outside of medicine, he balances his deep affection for good food with frequent visits to the YMCA and chasing after his three young children.
