Brooke Stott (she/her/hers) is a Project Manager with Transhealth Northampton. She brings a dynamic background of clinical, research, advocacy, and training experience to share with the organization, along with years of work within the LGBTQ+ community. Brooke graduated from UMASS Amherst in 2005 with an undergrad degree in sustainable forestry and has since returned to Salem State University for a masters degree in social work, through which she has offered community-based therapeutic services at JRI’s Boston GLASS program, as well as outpatient therapy services at Clinical & Support Options in Greenfield, MA.
Brooke began working within the transgender and gender-diverse (TGD) community as a health navigator with AIDS Action Committee’s TransCEND program in Roxbury, MA. Shifting her focus to more rural areas of the region, Brooke began work with the PATH Project, a community-based participatory research project on the lived experiences of TGD community members navigating health care systems. Most recently, Brooke was the program manager of the Pioneer Valley TransECHO, a yearlong training and education program for both clinical and administrative health care staff looking to better serve the region’s TGD population. Additionally, she has also served as a co-facilitator of LGBTQ+ youth peer-support groups through OUT MetroWest.
