Staff Bio

Katie Wolf (she/her/hers) serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Transhealth Northampton. Katie brings a wide-ranging health care management skill set to this work, drawing on experience in large-scale change management.

Working for Massachusetts General Hospital and Partners HealthCare, Katie served as a leader in digital health, IS, informatics, and transgender health for more than 10 years, managing large, mission-critical projects in support of clinical operations. Her expertise at partnering with senior executives and diverse stakeholders to deftly advance major organizational initiatives defined her career at Partners and MGH.  Prior to her work at Transhealth Northampton, Katie served as chief of staff within Partners Digital Health, working directly with the chief digital health officer. As executive director of MGH Epic informatics, training, and support, she created and managed the team that optimized Partners eCare (Epic), supported 17,000 current users, and trained MGH staff. These roles within digital health grew out of her previous role as the director of deployment for the Epic electronic health record rollout at MGH, a three-year project that involved decommissioning 30 systems, ensuring hospital revenue held steady or increased during and after implementation, and training nearly 17,000 end users over four go-live dates. While these roles focused on informatics, the core focus was large-scale capital project planning & execution and organizational change management. Alongside Katie’s work in digital health, she has led work at both MGH and Partners expanding clinical care and expediting organizational change regarding LGBTQ health—specifically, transgender health programs.

Katie earned her bachelor’s degree from UMass Amherst and her MBA from the Simmons School of Management. She has served on a wide array of boards and advisory groups focusing on digital health consulting, LGBTQ health, queer-competent domestic violence, and health care & business education.  Outside of work, Katie spends her time baking, making and aging cheese, voraciously reading, and generally enjoying time with her family.
